Basically we were contending with this project for incoming Bandai Action Kit World Cup 2010 or simply known as BAKWC 2010 under Group Category. This time, we were going into a bold move by incorporating couple of corefighters in an exhibition hall type diorama. Yeah..you heard it right! We were using modded corefighters instead 'gang-banging' with mechas! Something out of extraordinary in a norm competition as one of our member claimed that those 'little guys' deserved an attention. Without further ado, seven of us began to move into the first step of realizing our daring ideas..............

Preliminaries rounds:
Initial discussion were took place before any physical works began. Schematic layout were done and discuss on conceptual agenda. Couple of corefighters were selected for the project and we proceed to scale and proportion settings.

Virtual modeling :
Once overall plan been finalized, we move ahead further next step to 3D modeling and color scheme as well. Main objective is to fine tuned entire diorama size, scale factor and proportion wise.

Though some areas/ideas were scrapped off due to time-frame consideration, lastly we able to finalize the overall details for final fine-tune. Template were printed out for final check-through.And next step ahead, Group leader were distributing work-task for each individual responsibility. Hell begins!

Mock-up cardboard were used as templates and as well for fittings purposed. Our discussion of detailing and scale proportion were resume accordingly from this point. Finally we decide to go for scale 1:100mm by the size of 48cm x 38cm x 48cm. Phew! narrow escape from competition R&R of sizes.

Finally, real action begins! Though we were having difficulties of material sources but we managed to pull off without any big 'screw me!' issues. In fact, we did substitute couples of material that difficult to obtain in the market. Another narrow escape for us! As usual, we were carefully discuss and overcome all for seen problems before proceeding into detail works. We can't afford to made mistake at this point due to tight time frame which was against us at the moment.

Next obstacle were electric works. We been sourcing out some reliable 12v battery and LEDs in order to stay 'working' for 1 straight weeks during the competition. Yeah, we intend to put some lighting effect as well for our project. And eventually, we did found some reliable batteries and LEDs.Thanks to Rayloke! Without hesitation, we began our wiring works as per planned.

As per planned, everything were in order and we have completed all major works! Considered it as 80% done. Final testing on light fittings before commence fit-out works.

Well, so far so good as per planned. Now the next step ahead were on those decorative items which were in progress. Dateline is around the corner (left about 1 weeks before BAKWC 2010)... we were in mixed feeling of satisfaction yet nervous on our closing dateline...........

Modded figures finally done up! As Oldman said :"Old style but no QC!" same goes to my work here  .....almost forgot to insert four little fellows as Security Personnel....thxz to Ray's reminder again...

Finally all 'mojos' that squeeze out from our brains came to reality....Remain decal-ling works and stuff allocation yet to be done and hopefully good to go for coming BAKWC!

Can considered this is our last posted WIP pics.....wanna see the real thing? Meet us at BAKWC!
At least now can ease ourself and have some good rest.....

These are among members work which I love to share with you guys......
